After hunting this evening I checked a couple cams and swapped some cards. Boy was I surprised on what I saw. Usually I don't see new bucks from other properties start showing their faces until December. These 2 are exceptions I guess. We have a big number of doe's around so hopefully these 2 bucks give me a chance at them. This guy is a 9 point. Nice mass to him. He's 40 yards directly north of a stand I hunt during the rut. I hunted this stand the morning the day he showed up on camera the 1st time. I didn't know he was here till I got home tonight and checked the cards. A beautiful 10 (actually a 9 point). His g2 is broke. Awesome tine length and width on him. This cam is west 60 yards of the same stand I referenced to above. Its a food plot in the middle of a woods.
Thanks guys. Might have had the 9 point at 18 yards this evening. It was getting dark and the chocolate rack on this bucks head blended in well with the ground/woods. A very dark/big bodied deer. I saw the crease behind his shoulder fine but elected to pass. I knew the buck had some height but didn't want to shoot in case he wasn't him. It was right at that legal/illegal shooting time I'm guessing.
