Here he is, Jack Matthew Meyer. 8lbs and 21". My wife was due next Sunday but water broke Monday night and 15 hours later he came out. Life changing experience. Wouldn't change any of it for the world.
Thanks everyone. Yes this is our first. Little update: During the last hour of labor, my wife got a mild fever and Jack had one as well when they checked his temperature. It went away but when his blood work came back his white blood cell count was a little high. Next time they checked his blood it went up a little more so they took him to the special care nursery to go on some antibiotics. His blood cultures still have not shown any infections which is awesome but to be cautious during this bad flu season they want to run about a 5 day antibiotic treatment. So he will have to stay in the hospital until early next week. My wife is staying with him so she can continue to breastfeed and I'm there as much as possible until Monday. But he is doing great and it is sad because he is in there next to babies that are much more sick than him and it's sad to hear their cries. Anyway, keep him in your prayers but he is doing fine and will be all ready to go in a few days.
