Well I'm 30 years old and have always enjoyed hunting and fishing and just the outdoors in general. Growing up my dad never did bow hunt so I never really got interested in it, now is a totally different story! Everybody I work with bow hunts and it tears me up, I just wanna be in the woods also. I've always had good luck in gun season but also know that the best chances for better bucks is during the rut. So I got an old compound bow given to me aluminum arrows and all, it's a PSE F1 Matrix (pretty sure). I shoot pretty consistent groups with it at 30 yards and the place I plan to hunt all shots will be inside of that range. Also my first time hunting out of a tree so I bought a climbing tree stand (API Crusader). My problem is the bow seems really loud to me so I plan on buying a new bow next week. I've got my mind set on a Hoyt Spyder 30. I've never bought any bow accessories and the bow I got is already set up, so how do I know what accessories to buy? I know I need everything, rest, sights, stabilizer, quiver, etc. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Btw the name's Dan

Welcome to the site Dan. Looks like you have a good idea about what you need. When you go to the bow shop they will help you out with any questions you have and get you set up with everything you need. This is a great place to get information and the guys on here are very helpful.

I don't really have a bow shop close so I planned on buying everything online and then taking it to the shop once and getting it all set up

I think if I were you I would make the time to go to a pro shop and shoot a few before I bought one. Make sure you get a bow that fits you properly and feels good to you when you shoot it. A poor fitting bow can cause you all kind of issues that will drive you nuts. Where are you in WV?

Okay, I was afraid you were buying blind. Check in the equipment review section of the forum and you can pick up a lot of good info on accessories there.

Where are you in WV Dirt? You might be close to one out of state depending on where you're at. I know Archer's Edge in Oakdale, PA is only about 30 minutes from Weirton.

I know they don't sell Hoyt but Cabela's in Charleston could take care of everything else. There used to be a sporting goods store at the Fairplain exit. I haven't been there in several years so not sure if they are still open. There is also a nice shop in Parkersburg I've been to.
My family is in Roane county and I grew up outside Belpre OH so I've been in that area a few times.
