So I had a Fred bear I bought 15 years ago, shot it all the time and it was like riding a bike. I finally decided to buy a new bow this year, it was a mid-range bow, Fred Bear. I love the way it shoots, but I can't seem to get consistent with it.... I will shoot 5 or 6 right in their, then one will pull 4 or 5 inches low or high. With my last bow, I used to look through my pin and focus on the target, I can only seem to be accurate by focusing on the pin and see the target in the background. Any thoughts or recommendations?

    thank you in advance...

So what helps me is to lower my applicable pin onto the target and float the pin, being careful not to place the pin which tenses me up. Plus I take my time as to not tire out. I've found that after a while it's me getting tired that expands the grouping. Hope this helps. Also I shoot every day I possibly can whether from 20 yards or further doesn't really matter

Don't try to hold the pin exactly where you want to shoot, as odd as it sounds, it does tense your muscles and makes the shot less natural. By floating the pin in the proximity of where you want to shoot (lungs, heart area right behind the shoulder) it will help you stay relaxed and not punch the trigger. I also only shoot one arrow at a time as it gives my muscles plenty of time to relax between shot and is more of a real life situation, 9 times out of 10 you're only going to get a single shot at an animal so practice how you would hunt. Good luck!
