Ok, I just up'd my game a little this year and need to use 330-370 spined arrows. I am trying to keep my arrow weight to around 400 grains using 100 grain broad head and 20 grain nocturnals. I keep coming up with either 8.2 gpi arrows (easton flatline doa) or 8.7 grain arrows (easton bloodline). I have noticed the weights of the inserts in these 2 are really different. I ideally want to find a arrow in this spine rating around 8.5 gpi. Any suggestions here? (and unfortunately $200/doz arrows are not on the menu). Thanks for the advice
For what it's worth I am looking at new arrows for next year, and I really like the looks of the Carbon Express Pass through extremes. Small diameter arrow, uses an outsert to get the standard threads for standard broadheads, but it is on the heavier side.
Shot Carbon Express Blue Streak Selects for the last two seasons, liked them, but I just switched to Easton Full Metal Jackets, and absolutely love them. FWIW
This is what I shoot 350s for the spine you need the regular hunters are pretty sweet as well and give you a little extra weight.
The Outlaws estimate weight comes in at 404.4 @ 8.6 gpi. And price is good too. Will definitely consider these, though I would like a .003 straightness.
