Hey everyone, I have been doing competition bow for a couple years and are finally getting started into hunting. Dont ask why i havent hunted before, its a long story. Anyway, im from Lincoln, NE and im going bow hunting for bucks over thanksgiving. I have everything i need for my bow except broadheads. What else do i need for my first time? im going with a friend but i know i will need EVERYTHING. Tree stands are taken care of, but im looking for gear, outfit, accessories, etc. Can someone help me out?

Make sure you shoot your broadheads before you go hunting with them, just to make sure your bow is tuned properly and shoots them straight. For gear, a lot of it is personal preference. For clothes, get something that is suited for the weather you are hunting in. Make sure it's not real bulky, and that it is quiet when you move. I like taking a small bag to hold my random stuff in (water, grunt tube, bow hanger, etc). Oh, and don forget a safety harness!

The weather will be around 40 degrees with a breeze at around 8-15 mph. What thickness of outerwear?

    Welcome to the site.

Safety harness for sure! I'd recommend getting a hand muff also. They are perfect for keeping your hands warm without having to wear bulky gloves.

Also, wouldn't hurt to ask this question in the Bowhunting part of the forum, it'll get a lot more traffic there :tu:
