I have a Quest Radical bow right now. Was thinking of upgrading in a year or 2. If so what bow should i get i love accuracy and speed!
Well with how Mathews is going be on the lookout for a bow without strings. Bowtech invasion CX maxima 350 React 5 Reaper 2 inch
I am using a PSE Surge right now. I liked the way it felt when I was looking at bows and it just felt right. It is my beginner bow, I wasn't sure how into the sport I was going to get, that being said, I am hooked and I am kind of in the same boat as you. I will probably hunt 2016 with my Surge but then 2017 start looking for a new bow. I have shot the Elite Energy 32 and absolutely love it, just a tad outside my price range right now but if it is still in Elite's lineup come 2017 this is where I am leaning. Take this for what it's worth. Everybody has opinions, but for me it just has to feel good and I want to enjoy shooting it. That's how I landed on the Surge as my beginner/starter bow.
Would take far too long to post the entire list of great bows being sworn by folks out on the market....I will simply list the manufacturers that I have at least one trusted hunting friend/acquaintance that swears by them: -Mathews (also Mission) -Hoyt -Bowtech (also Diamond) -Elite -Prime -Bear -G5 -PSE -Ross -Darton -Strother
Xpedition Xcentric 7 is best overall hunting bow out right now IMO...perfect blend of speed, accuracy, dead quiet, and has a smooth draw and hold all day let off/valley. It is the Perfect hunting bow. If you compare specs you won't find one out there from any manufacturer that matches it especially with the 7" BH. Only ones that comes close is the Bowtech Prodigy, and Obsession Fusion 7, but they don't make their speeds like the hybrid cam from Xpedition. I would keep your eye out on Mathews new offering for 2016...if they get 345ibo with a 6.75"-7" brace height they may compete.
