Just curious what everyone does. List what BH you use and which one you do.

I tried to replace my blades when I shot the Rage 2-blade, but ended up replacing the entire head. I didn't think that the replacement tips for the Rage was very sharp but the blades were.

I'm shooting Muzzy MX-4s and love how easy it is to replace blades. I've debated resharpening the blades, but it's easier for me to just buy some.;)

I resharpen the Samurai's, Phantoms, Bloodrunners and Silver Flames.

I have replaced the blades in Slick Tricks. But, in the future, if the blades don't get to beat up, I will resharpen them.

I will resharpen my blades as long as I can get them back to a hair cutting razor edge. If I can't then I'll replace the blades or head, whichever the case may be depending on the head.

I've got a HUGE pile of Muzzy MX-3 blades lying in a pile on one end of my archery counter... plans are one day to resharpen them all, as they've all only been through an animal once only and changed out...

Right now it's just too easy to replace them but I'm not throwing them away in case I ever get around to sharpening them. :)

For sharpening replacement blades I use curved needle nose pliers and the GrizzlyStik Razor Sharp System. It gets my replacement blades, BH's and knives scalpel sharp.

Actually, I do all three. I see what kind of shape the head/blades are in and if I can, I sharpen the blades. If the blades are FUBAR and the head is OK, I replace the blades. If the head is bad I replace the whole thing, while saving what I can.

Same here. Nicked blades go out the door, most blades are resharpened pretty easily, any bad ferrules, tips, etc. get thrown away and I get new ones.

Check out the KME sharpening system, expensive, but scary sharp.

It's way to easy to just replace the blades. If I ever have time that I don't need for something else...................................................I might :-)

Thunderheads and just used to replace blades(but kept all that weren't damaged)
I have a KME and once my last new blades are used, I pretty much still have a lifetime supply that are either already re-sharpened or can be if needed.

I've only shot one deer w/ my Reign's. The blade had one little ding in it from the soil it submerged into after blowing through. The blade is still razor sharp, but why use it when I've got two other brand new one's waiting. I just rotated it down to the end of the line and will replace the blade when I use next one.

I'm currently shooting the ST mags. I've only shot one deer with them this year so far, but once I run out of the 3 I've got I plan on just buying replacement blades so long as there's no noticeable damage to the ferrule. I've also got some bloodrunners that I haven't gotten to use yet, but I'll just sharpen them as long as the blades don't get damaged.

If they aren't dinged I've been resharpening the replaceable G5 Striker blades. Otherwise they get replaced with new ones.

I resharpen the heads I use Outback Supreme's Single Bevel, if they bend or break which has not happened yet even after shooting them into a concrete block.

    I'll just order another dozen.;)

Even though mine have replaceable blades.. I replace the entire head once its taken an animal. Always.

Those that zing over or through said animal get demoted to practice head.
