I have tried a single pin sight in the past and did not like its functioning(or lack thereof) in the woods. I am currently using an Axcel Armortech 5 pin and love its toughness and precision. I would enjoy the option to have a pin with the extended range capabilities. Possibly making a switch... Have any of you had the chance to use the new single pin slider by Axcel? Thoughts?
I have not used that particular sight, but other single pin sliders. I find in huntimg situations that you really don't have time to adjust the sight, but more of a tendancy to aim high or low. The adjustment will allow you to fit the shot distance scenarios you're in. I have since switches to a 3 pin slider. The other two pins give me a better shot reference without having to aim high or low with just one pin. The slider still gives me the option to set my pins fir the shot distance scenarios I may be in. The important thing about the Axcel sight is that the adjustment wheel is located toward the front of the sight to allow for certain quivers to be used as intended.
