Depends on what your looking for...do you want a heavier or lighter arrow?

I personally like a heavier arrow for a hunting set up...something over 430gpi total arrow weight. With a heavier arrow, the arrow absorbs more energy from the bow which gives you more kinetic energy. It also helps quiet your bow down some.

If you use a 100 grain head you'll need a 340-350 spine. If you want to use a 125 grain head then you'll need a 300 spine.
It's a good target of 6-8 grains per pound for basically anything in north america. If you shoot 70 pounds that would be a minimum of 420 grains.

To find the arrow, simply do a few very minor calculations:
    1. The weight of the insert
    2. The weight of the knock
    3. The weight of the fletching (blazers=3 grains each, quickfletch=28 grains)
    4. The weight of the shaft (length x grains per inch)

For a higher FOC you can add weight to some inserts. To do this simply cut a bolt down, weights are too expensive.
