I had Easton Flatlines but when I lost my quiver I had to replace them and BPS didnt have them in stock so I got the same size (400). I got the Easton Axis ST N fused carbon 400s which have a skinner diameter then the flatlines should these fly different covered to the flatlines? Thanks
The axis are 1.8 grains per inch heavier so they will be a bit slower. If your arrow length was something like 28" that would make it 50.4 grains heavier. A better arrow IMO. Your bow will shoot quieter and have better energy transfer. Although spine is the same I would still go through the tuning process since, because of the weight change, the dynamics may have changed a little.
My arrows are just about 27in long I ask because I need a new block but dont have the cash at the moment but im going hunting tomorrow just hoping everything will be fine?
I don't think you should hope, you should really check things out by at least shooting with a BH to see what has changed. If nothing else at the very least you should have to adjust your sight some. The arrows will likely be hitting a little low. You would probably be good with a gang adjustment but you should check out the impact at each distance. This "hoping things are fine" is when the bad stuff happens. Make sure that things are fine by checking.
You'll probably need to move your rest UP just a tiny bit, but it will need to got up to be "square" with your string w/ the thinner diameter arrows. At 15-20 yds, the change will be small, but at 35yds. or so, it will be much more significant, especially being that the arrows are heavier.
