Since I'm headed out to WY over Labor Day weekend for Pronghorn, also with jmbuckhunter, Greg / MO, Kidd 642 and others and I wanted another target. I picked up a Cabela's Pronghorn to add to the back yard.

    Overall view from the deck,

The buck with the Yellow Jacket bag is 20 yards, the coyote with the Yellow Jacket broadhead backer is 30 yards, the Delta buck behind it is 40 yards, the new Cabela's Pronhorn is 50 yards and the Glendale buck is now out at 60 yards.

I also have a gobbler on the sand mound at 47 yards and a Rienhart ball hanging in the tree at 38 yards.

    View from the patio.

No, that's not a Wire Haired Dachshund target, that's little Axel the humper.

    Sweet!

Our targets are so shot up now that we have the deer, the foam block and the pig stacked together to try and make one shoot-thru-resistant target. (Deer-Block-Pig... half deer, half block, half pig... LOL)

We're starting to shoot thru the GlenDel now too. :(

I'm going to buy a 'new' used target at the 3d shoot this weekend. I'm just too darn cheap to have the nice range like yours.

If you lived closer, I'd sneak into your yard and steal one antler/horn off each of your targets. ;)

That looks great Rob. I can tell you have no grandchildern yet because all your buck targets still have all their antlers.
What a good group us guys to be breaking bread in camp with, Good Luck!

Christine you are a Hoot! I have a target almost like yours, only mine is a Buck, Block Pig!

The pronghorn has a striking resemblence to a Rob buck, which means there is a pronghorn buck out there that is a dead pronghorn walking.

Man, that look awsome. I really wish I could shoot in my backyard. I have my basement set-up from wall to wall and it is 16 yards. I have to drive 20 min to shoot longer than 20 yards.

You might have as much money stuck into targets than i have into my whole bow collection.

Girl, it's not all gold. The 20 yard target has been patched. The coyote is shot out, that's why the broadhead target is behind it. The turkey has to be shot from front or back or I'll shoot through it. The sides are history. I have to patch it and the coyote. The 40 yard deer has it's second vitals and it won't be long until it needs to be replaced. It's still currently stopping my 82nd arrows. Currently. The rest are in great shape.

    And your too funny.

Hell Sliver, grandchildren? I have NO children. :D

A couple of them are pretty shot up and that's a damn good shot on a 50 yard Prongy. That thing wouldn't leave my sight. Matt says the 10 rings are entirely too high on Pronghorn targets.

I hear that Scot! Just imagine if. LMAO.

That will still make you a better shooter. I do a lot of shooting across the basement. 50' across. It's muscle remembrance and mental shooting. I step out back for some fun.

Thursday I should have about a half dozen shooters and wings coming to Poorguy's Archery. Ben's bring food and a gang. Should be fun.

My next target needs to be a bear. I'd love an elk but man are they ridiculously expensive.

I wish I had the back yard to do that !! That is awesome and very nice layout. Hard to give up my garage, but can always build another one.

Just another reason for us to go visit....

    I hear ya Christine.

Looks great Rob, maybe that's what I need to start spending money on...3D targets. I don't have a single one, and I have a huge back yard that I could damned near put an entire 3D course in!!! Now you've got me thinking, I'll likely be in trouble.....:D

Nice setup Rob. How are you patching the damaged targets? I've got one that is in desperate need of repair.

    Thanks guys,

One of the things I enjoy the most is having friends up to shoot, a little rivalry and smack talk not to mention coaching etc. Sometimes I step outside and shoot one arrow, sometimes dozens. I get bored strictly shooting 20 yards and blocks/bags.

Plus I like looking out there and seeing them fake animals. LOL

Remember the cinnamon bear that was afraid of the coyote target? LOL :D

A bear once chewed the ass end out of that 20 yard deer too. He looks horrible on the other side.

For those that asked about repairs, remember that I work for a telco company. I use a sealant that we have for sealing and filing ground pedestals. It works great but doesn't keep as well as new targets. That repair kit that Cabelas sells has to be similar and is cheaper than new or replacement depending.

Careful what ya wish for. He's dangerous.

Now, that's useful info. Two questions, was that going to be disclosed? Who will be the first to call a swinging shot in the game of buck?
