My 10 year old neighbor bought a Bear Apprentice last winter. he didn't shoot it much but has been breaking it in the spring. i have been helping him with his form as well as helping him sight in his pins as i feel he has been shooting well enough at the previous yardage to move back another 10 yards. with in the 3-4 weeks i have been helping him he has upgraded just about everything but the bow itself. He started with the ready to hunt package, quiver, sight and WB, no stabilizer. He has a new drop away rest (not sure of make or model) a new quikee 8 arrow quiver, a new tru glo 5 pin sight, and limbsaver stabilizer. is it just me or is he already displaying the qualities of an addicted bowhunter?

That's awesome you are helping the little guy out... Maybe in a couple years you can take him afield with you as well.

I noticed you live in NE Ohio, I do as well. I am in Trumbull County.

Buckeye, I do take him out with me. He fidgets and talks to much for me to be able to see anything but he loves being outside and the possibility of seeing something. I sent you a PM about what part of Trumbull you live in.

Christejc I have gotten a ton of pleasure out of helping him. He robin hooded 2 arrows earlier this week from about 9 yards. the look on his face was priceless. i think those joined arrows are his prized possession for the time being.
