I will eventually find a setup that I can't do with out but not yet. This year I look long and hard and was about to pull the trigger on the Halon 6 but then a buddy of mine asked me to look at the Obsession lineup. I started to look for a dealer and found a few nearby. The first dealer only ad the 2015 models in and did not seem to interested in getting one for me to try. I found another small dealer a few hours away that also did custom strings. I spent a few hours talking to the dealer and decided to go for it after shooting a few other models in the shop. It was a gamble because I did not shoot the model I wanted so I was indeed sweating it. This past weekend the bow came in and I made the 2 hour drive to pick it up in Virginia. The two fit me perfect with a 27" DL and the draw cycle was smooth with a valley that pretty much mimics the Elite line up. The bow was just as quiet as the NoCam but in the new setup I am shooting about 80 grains more weight from 378 to 453. Shooting the 453 grain arrow through a chrono got speeds of 283 FPS which was about the same as I was getting with the NoCam and a 378 grain arrow. The axel to axel specs are 32 1/4 with a 6 inch brace height and IBO of 352. Think this bow will be a killer but time will tell. I made the jump to Obsession but will I stay? Time will also tell.
That is one of the sexiest looking setups I've seen in a while. Congrats! Based off looks alone, I'd say it's a killer
I have always went with the blackout bows. Obsession has black, orange or red cams so I decided to go with black and red with some yellow in the string.
Sweet setup! I shot a few of the 2015 model obsessions. The ones I shot seemed to have a lot of vibration, but weren't bad bows all the way around.
