Damn, that doesn't sound normal but I wouldn't know since I've never had nor known anyone with a break that bad before. Just be careful bud.

Dang, good luck and wishing you a speedy recovery. Give your body a chance to heal before you go all crazy anymore.

Pretty crumby Joe, thanks for asking though :)

Hurting quite a bit worse now than I did the first few days. The swelling and bruising is out of control and covers most the top left half of my body so even just sitting on the couch covered in ice hurts. lol Praying for some light at the end of the pain tunnel but likely have a lil ways to go yet. I would have never imagined a guy could get wasted on narcotics and still hurt so bad lmao.

Sounds like tomorrow they will finally make the call on whether to bolt me back together or let it ride. Aside from that, well... guess I can do nothing.
Nurse keeps chewing on me about the swelling and saying I'm not resting enough but it seems like all I've done is rest. I mean isn't much else I can do at the moment. The popping, grinding, and intense *somebodies sticking a red hot stick in my shoulder pain* is subsiding daily so I have that going for me which is nice and a hot wife and 3 awesome kids that REALLY have gone crazy taking care of daddy, getting thru this on ones own would certainly be a struggle so very thankful for that.

Now if only the wife could find that old sexy nurse costume before my next bath time...:)

Glad to hear the kids and wife are taking care of you! LOL

Best of luck tomorrow, I'll be checking for updates.

If you have to get surgery, make sure you get the nerve block!!!
Like a dumbass, I didn't. I didn't like the thought of nerves being blocked. However, when i woke up i felt the immediate pain of the metal plate, the 4 " incision, the screws and the pins, and the 2 breaks. get the nerve block!

Well... more bad news. Surgeon got pretty freaked about my condition and even though X-rays looked worse he was more concerned about other things. Had me rushed to ER for a Doppler where they found a blood clot. Ugh. It was s loonngg day. 3 drs 2 hospitals and now not allowed outta bed for a few days. Gotta give myself 2 injections a day and on the rat poison as well.

    So
    Much
    Suck

Holy crap.....That does suck man, real sorry to hear its getting worse. Are they thinking surgery once the clot clears up? At this point it might be best just to get it over with so you can heal and get better.

Hell idk. The break is clearly worse and isn't stable. It could take months for the blood clot to absorb. We didn't even get to talk surgery yesterday even though it's why I was there. He was more concerned with the insane swelling and knot I had. Knot was apparently the nasty clot. Go back to surgeon next week. It's a crap fest

I will say for drs my two main ones are pretty good. Least good as a guy can get in BFE KS. my ortho surgeon / specialist is a Bowhunter and I think he knows what it's gonna take to get me fixed up. Just gotta get there. The insane swelling / bruising / and now clots are slowing things down. Swelling is improving big time last 24 hrs so least getting SOME relief.

Will you heal up already? If you don't get better you won't be able to shoot over a bucks back this year. :poke: :D

Seriously though, take it easy man. At least you don't need to worry about bleeding out from a shaving accident ;)

Did they talk any about casting or immobilizing your arm?
