I shoot a Mathews z7 my draw length is only 26in according to my bow seems small though. I am pulling back 65lbs originally my arrows were 27.75 but the new batch I got was cut to 28 will this make a difference bc I haven't really noticed any? I am shooting 400 axis n-fused at 9.8 gpi and 125gr BHs, 2 in blazer vanes ..curious how that sounds and what my final FOC would be around? I've always shot good, but I guess I'm just curious

Thanks Bruce, they didn't have my arrows but I am guessing I'm around 417 roughly?

    arrow shaft - 272
    insert - 15
    nock - 8
    blazers - 18
    tip - 125

Approximate numbers for nock and insert and, if I remember, blazers were 6 each

438 is what I get. A nice weight for your setup.

A quarter inch really should effect too much. that is a nice hunting arrow out of that setup. with that DL if you cut those arrows down to about 25" it would give you some killer FOC and added penetration. great setup as is though.

It may give a good FOC but less weight (approx 30 grains) means less momentum and that would affect penetration in a negative way. The tune would also likely get thrown way off too.
