so what do you suppose happens if the rattler is bigger then the one eating him? Does he just leave his rattles hanging out or what?
Those are some cool pictures. Not sure I would want to stand that close to take those pictures though!
Looking at that really makes me appreciate living in Wisconsin. I don't want anything to do with that.
I got home and my wife was telling me there was a snake in the chicken coop, in the nest boxes. I go out there and grab it and see that he has already eaten 4 eggs. I take it about 100 yards back into the marsh and let him go figuring a snake wouldn't be able to find his way back. 3 days later I was proved wrong. Apparently 100 yards is nothing to a snake. Anyway, I grab him again and go grab an axe. I put a board behind his head and hold him to the ground and then bring the axe down beside the board and behind his head. I now have a 6 foot black snake hide salted down and in a bowl. If only it would have stayed away from the chickens.............. :d
Why? Wisconsin has timber rattlers & pine snakes that are as big as that black snake.I see pine snakes all the time but have not seen a rattler.
