I used to have an active Netflix account, but this was at the time all the controversy over the 'heavy renter' stuff was going down. They pissed me off so I cancelled my account.

But, I see they now offer streaming movies to my laptop, so I'm interested. Do any of you use this? How is it? Good quality? Lots of movies? Is it truly unlimited? Worth the money?

I have had netflix since 06. The watch instant stuff is decent quality. Most of the watch instanly stuff is not the new releases and they have come a long way from where it started but there is plenty of room for improvement. I hear they have an agreement with the game console companies (x-box, play station, and wii coming soon) where you can stream to your TV with the system. This is going to be better for me as I'd rather watch on a big TV. The movies that come to the house are unlimited and it's a pretty quick turn around usually 2-3 days. I get 2 at a time unlimited with unlimited time for watch instantly for $14/month. The only problem I have is sometimes I get a bad DVD. Not really Netflix's fault and they correct the problem in short order. Over all I'm happy with their service and it alot better than dealing with Block Buster.

I get Neflix as well. I bought a Blu Ray player that I use to stream to my TV along with receiving Blu Ray dvd's.

The quality of streaming is not as good as the dvd's on my 42" LCD. But since the movies that we stream are mostly older ones its not a big deal to me. All the newer movies with better graphics I make sure to have them send me the Blu Ray.

Yes it is unlimited. I am on the 1 DVD and streaming plan.

    Love Netflix.

Like others have said, most of the movies you can "watch instantly" are older, foreign, or documentaries, but I like that, b/c I enjoy old, foreign, and documentary movies. And yes, the "watch instantly" movies are really unlimited.

I'm on the whatever, maxed out plan. We just keep the list full of stuff we want to watch, and I use the XBox to stream instantly. I love it, because I don't really watch tv all that much. There's just too many movies out there, and If I watch a tv show, I can start from season 1 with NF. lol.

We used to rent from Blockbuster, and places like that, but it got too expensive, then we started going to the Redbox, but that just became a PITA, so now, we get our moneys worth out of this plan, and are never bored.

My girlfriend's parents have it, they seem to like it a lot. They have it through their blu ray player and they get dvds in the mail too.

I'll be joining the ranks once I hit some goals and pull the trigger on our home theater system... I'm looking at a Blu Ray player that handles Netflix streaming to it wirelessly.

Netflix is great. I also like the instant documentaries.

    Well worth it.
