It is pretty bad. Lol. But I like some of the comic relief and yeah the gov kept it a secret. Just rich folks made the boats. Good line: when they tell you not to panic, you RUN! Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Skimming through one of other threads and you guys talking about older wrestling, found a documentary series from Vice other night called dark side of the ring. It's more about some of the tragedy story type stuff but I watched few and they were pretty interesting. Got one about the Von Erichs, Bruiser Brody, whe wwe/f kinda screwed Brett Hart, and Macho man and Elizabeth that I've watched. I just found them on YouTube. Bunch of interviews from some of older guys from 70's, 80's, and early 90's. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Today I caught up on Strike Back (meh) and several Rogan podcasts that I missed. I'm still working though. I stopped by the grocers on my way home at about 4pm. A lot of the dry goods were picked over; paper goods obviously but the pasta aisle was wiped clean. No frozen chicken. Grabbed some fresh steaks that they were just putting out along with some frozen fish filets. Something else I noticed was the "family planning" section (both male and female accouterments) was pretty thin. People really don't want to get pregnant for the next few weeks. Don't think I'll be going to the grocers for the next 2-3 weeks. Gonna have a dirty 30 of cheap beer and a case of Templeton's delivered tomorrow and wait.
Altered Carbon..both seasons. Ripper Street. Loved it. Travellers. Sci fi...fun show 3%...Brazilian apocalyptic stuff with English voiceovers makes it kind of weird but the storyline and concept are interesting. Wont be going home when work ends on Wed morning. Cant risk bringing anything home to my kids. Probably wont go home til next weekend at the earliest. Netflix is on the horizon. And if you need some cartoon TVMA action that is interesting. Castlevania. Unique.
Every Bruce Lee movie ever made. In fact, depending on how many weeks this goes on, think I'll go down the list of action icons: Errol Flynn (watched Sea Hawks tonight it was actually decent for the era) John Wayne Clint Eastwood Bruce Lee Charlie Bronson Chuck Norris Sly Stallone Arnold Swarzenegger JCVD
Have to check out Ripper Street. I've been waiting to hit 3% for a bit; guess now's my chance. I like Travelers but can't dive in completely like a lot of series. 1-2 episodes then I am done for a couple weeks. I finished the second season of Altered Carbon last weekend. Liked it better than the first season; which I really liked in its own right. I ripped through that Aussie Netflix series "Glitch" a couple weeks back. Interesting; very well acted.
I have never seen Dexter, but just started watching last night. Got me hooked with first 2 episodes down. Had a few people recommend it and liking it so far. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I'm not going to get any more Netflix time than I normally do. If I get stuck at home I'll be juggling remote work with simultaneously entertaining/teaching/beating 3 little kids. By the time they get in bed I'll be too tired to stay up and binge Netflix all night. Although I do have a burning desire to watch the entire series of 30 Rock from start to finish. I miss some Jack Donaghy in my life.
No Steve McQueen!? What kinda dude are you? The original Thomas Crown Affair with Faye Dunaway, excellent. Think I'll watch that for lunch.
Like you, all my TV has to be kid friendly, I am still required to go to work every day, so late night binge is not an option.
Anyone have documentaries/crime documentaries they are into? Just about done with The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez... What a sick world we live in.
I can't remember the name but there's a reporting series on the Long Island Serial Killer (LISK.) That was pretty interesting. it was 1:38 AM and I was half in the bag...forgive me if I missed a couple. McQueen would be on my list. Separate list; but I would also like to watch every Hitchcock movie. I had to watch a few for a Crime in Film criminal justice class I took in college; and I've seen one or two since, and they are all excellent.
Dexter was great for a few seasons, then followed the trend at the time of suddenly and incessantly injecting a very overbearing guy-on-guy uh...relationship plot line that did nothing for the show and was only there because it was part of being woke and edgy. Killed it for me. Well, that and Jimmy Smits who I despise as an actor. I heard they learned their lesson after that season but I never went back to it.
I can't believe that is still "alive". They should have ended that show about 2 years ago. I'm still bitter about the last season, but when I hear the GoT theme song, it gets me going. Netflix: Night on Earth (animals...at night!) Our Planet Monty Pythons Flying Circus Lost in Space HBO The Outsider (The book is great) Barry Chernobyl There are some others but I can't recall them.
I'm kinda hoping for the shelter in place goes into effect just so the roads will be clear. I've had a need for speed lately and kinda want to go drive like I cant if ya know what I mean.
This show made me simultaneously very sad and very angry at the same time. I definitely cried a few times. I Am A Killer is a pretty good docuseries if you're into crime stuff.
