I'm looking forward to Yellowstone. The wife and I watched the whole series of Shameless, what a messed up show! Lol

The wait for a new Yellowstone season is almost as hard as waiting for a tax stamp to get approved.... almost.

Has anyone watched Without Remorse on Amazon Prime? Tom Clancy is one of my favorite authors, and I have been looking forward to someone doing a movie of the book. Not sure about this take on it, the preview looks like too many of the plot details were changed from the book.

I forgot that came out. Need to check it out.

My brother in law gives me and my sister crap because we watch all the murder docs on Netflix or hulu. Other day she was like, "yea remember that next time you piss me off. We watch so know how to get away with it." Ha

I think the Night Stalker series is much better than the Son of Sam. I really like old school cops boots on the ground where Detectives grind it out and catch the crazy animal serial killers.

Watched Apocolypto for the first time last night. I thought it was great. Not sure why I had never watched it before last night.

a lot of people hate that movie. I have always liked it, not super re-watchable but I appreciate the under dog theme.

That and it shows the utter and absolute savagery of some of the tribes. I hate the myth of the peaceful native narrative. Genocide and systemic slavery was going on in the western hemisphere a long time before Europeans arrived.

I agree. The raw human element was intriguing. I was captivated the entire movie.

So has anyone been watching the new Dexter?

I never watched the old one until a couple years ago, then binge watched the whole thing in about a month. Really like the old one and this new one seems to be falling in place with the old one. Enjoying it so far!

hah, funny you used a serial killer series to bring back a dead thread!

I don't mind the new Dexter but it's not as riveting as the first couple seasons of the original. The original lost me after 3-4 seasons where suddenly everyone decided they were gay. It was part of that time period where every show had everyone go gay to prove how edgy they were.

Even the pirates of Black Sails. Which was awesome, until he kissed a dude.

keeping with the original title of this thread-

Surprisingly to me, Don't Look Up (Netflix exclusive) is actually pretty good. And I say that as someone who usually despises both Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lawrence as actesses.

I can't tell how intentionally self-immolating the script was from a Leftist perspective, but there is a decidedly anti-All political orthodoxies I found fresh and funny. DiCaprio is great in it. I think it's his best starring role since Wolf of Wall Street for sure; maybe his best since The Departed. Even Jonah Hill adds rather than detracts.

I also really appreciated how they absolutely torch Big Science, INC.

Bro! Didn’t realize there was a new dexter until you posted that. On episode 3 now.. damn good so far (aside for the fact that they really should’ve found an actual hunter and given them a few bucks to consult on all things hunting… I mean c’mon, FLIR trail cameras and $9,000 poverty pony AR?). Thanks for the recommendation!
