I know everyone loves pics so thought I would share one of my Neighbor Harold with his Doe. He texed me last week in the while I was in stand that he had hit one and needed help. He said go ahead and hunt then come over. Three hours later found us at scene of crime and he explained what had happened. First shot at 32 yards appeared to hit around heart area but he was not sure. It ran off and 5 minutes later comes back, he see hole but its farther forward and low. He gets another shot and thinks it looks fairly good but maby a touch back. We find blood and his arrows and start track job, its not looking to good and as we are deciding he needs to wait and continue search in the morning my son Dalton says, there she is and she is still alive:( She had crawled into a cattail thicket and laid down, Harold managed to get another arrow in her and she busted out ran down levy and all we could do was be quiet and listen to her direction.10 minutes later we are trying to find new blood in direction she traveled when I say shhhh I here splashing :( she had made big loop and tried to cross lake in middle of strip mine woods and as I caught her in flash light she decided to expire out in middle. SO I ended up going home and getting an 8' John boat dragging it into woods and retrieving Doe for neighbor who was sporting an injured leg at time. The second shot was liver shot. I ended up getting to bed @ 1:00am after eating late supper and getting shower. But im just happy she was recovered.
