I have been reading a lot about people going to heavier arrows to get more penetration and quiet their bows. I did a calculator and it seems like I have a negative FOC, is that possible. Here are my measurements

    Arrow length, 29.75"
balance point, 14" from throat of nock

I came up with -2.94, hoping I maybe did that wrong. I shoot 100 grain expandables, and have never had a problem, but I am always interested in improving. I shoot maxima blu RZ 350s, that 8.45 grains per inch. no inserts, standard 3 vane blazers. 30" 65# draw. Thoughts or suggestions?

If you aren't using inserts, how do you fasten the tip or broadhead to the shaft?

That would also explain the negative foc. Without an insert a 100 grain broadhead doesn't have enough weight to tip the balance point toward the front of the shaft.

You have to take the balance point with the insert, 100gr head, fletching and nock in the arrow.
