I like it Scott. :tu: Although I'm a big fan of the offset shoulder myself. Especially on a sneak, it shows of the deer's body size a little better. Mike's buck was probably 275 lbs-ish, so I think the offset will be a good thing to have.

I just found this form too, and I'm really liking it as well. I may use this for my next mount.

That's really close to what I want.. just looking to his left.. and a slight;y (just ever so) higher head.. I just need to find a pic.

In the meantime.. check these out.. they're freakin' awesome.. really LOVE the one in the lower left.

The only problem I have with this position is.. the wife. She hates when bucks are like this.. thinks they're gonna leap off the wall or something.. when I get my future basement sure.. but to early for this pose still.

    Nice buck though.. Scott.

This Is exactly what I do as well Tony, mount them as they last were (position wise) as I shot them. Why not do that Duke?

Here are a couple of websites of my friend here in Iowa who is a taxidermist.

This was his first website that I did for him.

This is his new site. Not as much on it, but still might see something you like.

Not trying to get him any business, just easier than posting all the pics.

Thanks for that IA.. thanks to you too Dubbs..

I've picked my pose.. and will bring in the antlers sometime this week.

Oh.. and ya 130woodman.. my taxi's a bit slow.. but he's got tons of work.. and his mounts just blow other guys off the water (he's been doing the Zarr family work for years).. he's also older.. but always fun to chat with and until he retires.. I'll probably never leave him.

And besides.. really.. what's the rush? Sure it's like Christmas when I pick up a mount.. but other than that I can wait just fine.

Thanks everyone. But feel free to show off some more.. some great mounts in here.

A buddy of mine. He's a police officer who does the taxi work out of his basement. He does a pretty decent job. My '08 mount is done and I hope to pick it up tonight.

    That's him.. thank you Greg.

That is the pose I'm gonna do.. just looking to his left.

Anyone have a guess to what it's name is? Is it just upright.. turn to left.. ears back?

Maybe I'll just bring a pic for Dale.

Hey Duke, here is another site that will get you what type of manikin you want.

    http://order.matuskataxidermy.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=82

It looks like the one you want would be the semi-upright.
