I have haven't bowhunted in years; used a Bear compund and recurve when I did. Now I am ready to get back into this great outdoor sport. Looking for opinions on a great bow... Mid-range in price...and about 70lbs... Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Bow selection is a very personal choice. To really make an informed decision, you will need to find a good pro shop that stocks the major brands and shoot them for your self. You will be amazed at the leap in bow performance since you were gone. I went from a 1986 Browning Accelerator to a 2006 Bowtech Allegiance.

There are also a lot of great deals on sued bows if you can decide what you want beforehand.

    Good luck and welcome back!

. . . didn't I just post on this one. Okay, I'll say it again: You should go to your local shop and shoot as many bows as you can. See what fits you best, both mechanincally and financially. And if you don't get the results you're wanting from this thread, try posting another in BIGGER letters!! :d

Look at a whole bunch of different manufacturers and a bunch of models from each. Shoot them all. I, myself am partial to Bowtech/Diamond. You can a real nice rig from them, and quality is #1. I absolutely love my Bowtech Tribute, and just bought my son a Diamond Razor Edge.
