Hope I'm not too late for scouting. Have a couple of places in mind where a few deer have been seen. One part is limited for hunting as the pond is flooded for waterfowl and closed until the end of waterfowl season. By that time, big game season is over; need to check the recent regulations. There are two other parcels that are open, though.

I see. Have a spot where I want to park on a bridge and watch for deer swimming a creek. Seen them before...years ago. Have spotting scope to 60X and a camera lens to about 96X.

I got video of one of the real nice 8pts from last year! Obviously still in velvet for another couple weeks. I'll share pics when I get my iCloud working right again. Last year I hunted from a natural ground blind, but I believe I was getting scented being on the ground, and only caught a brief sighting of one of my shooters.
But, today I went in and found a good tree for my LW climber, cleared some lanes, and set my tree hooks. Doing that, I"ll know exactly how to orient my stand in the dark. This stand site is in a great area with a perfect view of where this buck is coming through, just like he did last year. I'm excited!

    It won't be long! :tu:
