i chronoed the bow today at 286 and i am happy with that... i have been wanting to check and see what it was shooting just out of curiosity... im not into the whole get fasting shooting bow but speed does help kill somewhat... but im looking for some suggestions on some string silencers because i want to quiet my bow down a little bit even if it may hinder the speed just a little bit.

    thanks for the help

How much does your arrow weigh? You could always try a heavier arrow.

arrows are 258 or something plus what ever is added by the insert 100 gr. tip and nock. so total weight is almost 400 gr if my math is correct

If it were me and I would try an even heavier arrow instead of slowing down speed by adding something to the string. You gonna lose some speed either way, a heavier arrow will quiet your bow and really hit hard! Win, win situation in my eyes!

I don't think there is any set number just play with it by getting some heavier field points, cheap enough, couple bucks! I think Brad(GFY Camp) added just 25 grains and noticed a world of difference in how much harder his arrows hit and flew, as well as how his bow got quieter!
