Let me preface by saying, this is upper northeast Tennessee and this is not a deer I would normally shoot based off headgear obviously. So this camera, I've had up off and on at my girlfriends house for a few months but never hunted even though I've talked about going up there to kill a doe. Buck wise, it's been all 1.5-2.5 yo scrubbers. I checked the camera today around lunch and this guy was there visiting the mock scrape I had made a couple weeks ago. I just put this camera out on the 30th and the scrape on the 24th. Had an SD card issue so I had nothing from the 24th-30th. I'll try to dig up some other photos of younger deer for size reference. Personally, I think he's a 3.5+ year old. He's about 30lbs heavier than any 2 year old you'll see running around in these woods. Just looking for some opinions. His rack is lousy to say the least. This deer is a 3.5 for sure (history) albeit during the summer so he's not in "fighting" shape This is an up and coming 2 year old Probably a 1.5 year old on same camera Just some reference Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm gonna say 2.5 yr old. He has the slight belly which a typical 2.5 yr old has. His neck is swollen up as its rut time and a shorter snout. Just a guess/my opinion
