Thinking about buying a new laptop for my kids for Christmas. They are young and will be using it for homeschool work. We are talking 4th grade and 5th this year and I'd like to make sure whatever I buy will be able to handle their school needs through middle school years as well. I know exactly nothing about computers the only one in the house now is an old hand me down dell latitude. I was looking at this dell on Amazon and was hoping some of you guys could give me an idea on whether or not it would be good enough for what we need. Other than school work it will probably only get used for BH.com and whatever videos and shows the kids watch on it. Thanks.[IMG]

Honestly, if its to be used as a home computer for school work, browsing, etc I would get a desktop. You can get twice the performance for the same price. JMO

There is a reason that the schools that do hand out tablets hand out I-pads.

Thanks guys, I ended up buying a HP 2 in 1 laptop. Nice little computer for the price I think. I would've loved to bought them a Mac but I'm not dropping that kind of money when they won't use half of what makes it the best.
