    And also the neighbor cuts his corn in early November o should we plant a late season food source.?

    There are many things to draw deer, from mineral stations, to use of NATURAL ATTRACTANTS, to highly palatable food plot products. I believe in diversity. For year one food plotters, i recommend using it as a learning experience. Set yourself up for future success. Plant a succotash type product early August.....fall rye or triticale, some radish, some winfred brassica, some turnips and some berseem clover.....cheap, effective and all easy to establish seeds that tolerate most soils.
