I havent been hunting long and im getting a new piece of property this season. I need help with stand placement and how to find out where deer are bedding. I know what a deer bed looks like but i dont know where to begin looking also how do i find the deers main feeding source. Im very inexperienced with this and im just trying to learn some new things so i dont waste this property. Thanks

where you located? that could be the big thing as what food source is availble in your area....second you mentioned that you know what a deer bed looks like thats a good step knowing that by knowing this you can get a good idea on where to place your stands. There is alot that goes into hunting you have to spend some time in the woods scouting that will be your big key is scouting. hopefully this helps you out there will be other people on this site to help you further you hunting skills

look for some thick pricker bushes, and then find some small clearings where there is some grass, maybe cut down some trees/ limbs for shooting lanes and create natural funnels that the deer will follow and lead the deer right to the clearing and put your stand right there, then get it done.

also i would suggest getting some trail cams with sd cards and keep track of the deer on the property, take not of buck to doe ratio based on deer you see and get pictures of, also consider getting some good binoculars so you can do some good scouting.
