Depends on which design you like more...vert or horiz pins....i prefer vertical =] so TR sight is what i would pick.

What do you like about the vertical setup?

TR is the way I am leaning just because I want to try the vertical setup, but the Truglo sight looks like a solid unit as well.

I shoot a one pin sight...the hha which is movable which has a vertical pin...i think that when the pins are vertical it gives you a more dead on feel when setting the bow up and shooting it...just my opinion...ive shot the horiz pins too and have for a long time just prefer the vertical

I shoot the firewire V5. I've shot the vertical pins now for the last 3 seasons and i'll never go back to the horizontal sights. I personally like the vertical pins better because it gives me a better field of view no matter which direction the deer comes in, in other words the pins dont cover up one side of the deer which in turn i believe i can pick out "that spot" much better just behind the shoulder. But thats just my personal preference.

I didn't like vertical pins, but that's why they make options :)

As far as sights go I prefer Viper & Spot Hogg even if you go to their cheaper models. Rugged well built sights are a must for me.

That's what I shoot and really like it. My dislike of vertical pins was when I had multi dots on that vertical recticle. Just wasn't for me :)

Thanks for the input guys. I think I am going to have to try the multi-verticle pin setup up and just see if it is right for me. Might as well try it now rather than keep wondering if I would like it better.

I had the TR Alpha V5 on my bow a year and a half ago. It served me well for the first season I used it. While target shooting last spring I just didn't like how close my pins came together when set up for multiple distances. I decided to upgraded to an HHA single pin and I'm very pleased.

Let me know if you're interested in buying my TR sight. It was only used for one season and I would like to see it get some use.

in my past experience with both manufactures. trophy ridge product are made poorly overall. a pro shop by me wont even carry there products anymore do to people getting pissed about thing breaking. i had a 5 pin sight that all the fiber optics in it broke and the light transfer was so dim i went out and bought a new truglo which has served me well for this past seasons. not to mention my TR drop away got all bent up while i was practicing and the rubber in my TR stabilizer was disintegrating

so anyways im not a fan of trophy ridge but truglo seems to have a better product

While I am not one to often suggest a different product than someone asks about, I strongly suggest checking out the Axcel Armortec sights.

I purchased one last summer and I like the sight very much. It is built very well, I cannot come up with one single complaint.
