Just got this stand and I can never get straps adjusted correctly. They will not tighten up enough because we they bottom out in the tube by hitting the plastic caps. Also when climbing the straps will rollover.

With any climber there are is a range of tree sizes that can be climbed on. You may need to go with a bigger tree if you are bottoming out the straps on the base platform. I've never had a problem on my LW having the straps roll but I have heard guys say this in threads. I recommend trying to angle the stand more as you move up and down. This will disengage the strap so to speak from the bark of the tree. In short I recommend playing with it and I believe you will have the hang of it. When guys struggle with LW climbers its usually because of user error not because of something wrong with the stand which you might read elsewhere. There are some good videos on youtube to help. Hope this helps to some degree.

I agree completely, bigger trees and I have never had mine roll either. I will say that it's been a game changer for me. My hunting has improved immensely since I got the first one. Biggest issue is learning to point your toes so it releases from the tree. If you are hitting the plastic caps, find a bigger diameter tree.

Lone wolf over 20 yrs here. I agree with others. You need a bigger tree and a little more practice. Good luck. Best money you ever spent.
