Hello there, i am new to bowhunting and would like some help or advice. I am trying to find a good bow for a starter and to grow into, i dont want to spend alot of money but would like to find a bow that would be good to start out on. Thanks Jamie
We need your draw length, your desired pull weight, price range, what you will be using it for etc etc. But most people will say you should go shoot as many bows as you can at your local archery shop and see which one feels best for you, no one else can make that decision for you but we can give you ideas and advice. Good luck, Matt
I would have to say 30-60 draw weight and price range 200-400 as im on a budget , using primarly for deer hunting, im not sure about draw length though
I thought Mathews and Mission were two different comapnies? Just want to find something good, reliable, not too expensive and I can use for many years
I've read and heard that the Diamond Razor Edge is a good starter bow. It has a wide draw weight range (29-60) and a wide draw length range (19-29). Here's you a link to Diamond's website to check it out. http://www.diamondarchery.com/#/productBreakdown?r=products_products&i=26 I'll tell you this I've heard enough good things about this bow that I'll most likely buy one for my boys to start out when they are ready. Also under consideration for my boys is a Hoyt Prohawk http://www.hoyt.com/compound_bows/details/prohawk similar range to the Diamond.
I would highly and I mean highly recommend the PSE stinger, this bow runs about 300 and it does the job! I've had some of the more "expensive" bows, and I would pick this one over any of them, and not just for the price. Just set it up properly, get it tuned and start puttin the hammer down. In my opinion there really isn't a "bad" bow out there now, it's all preference.
So which would be better- the PSE stinger or the Razors edge? I need something I can use for years to come since I am new and just beginning. I appreciate all the help and love the site and answers
