Well guys, I need some advice on trying to get on a couple of shooter bucks on my property. I uploaded a topo map, yellow line is the property line, red area is where I believe the bucks are bedding (from scouting), blue is where I have shooters on camera (only 5 pictures) I have also seen them in those areas while in the stand, and black lines are old logging trails. This property was logged about four years ago I think. The problem is there is so much undergrowth that its almost impossible to walk through, even for deer (briars and what not). So I am wondering if I should focus on the logging trails (assuming the bucks are using them to travel through this thick stuff, perhaps during midday). Does and younger bucks like to work off the ridges and come down around the points, but I have rarely seen mature deer do that since those areas are near houses. I have a feeling the bigger deer are staying up on the high ground for the most part, of course I don't know what they could be doing on the other properties. I am just trying to figure out what to do with this upcoming cold front this weekend, going to try to squeeze an all day sit in. Any input you guys have for me would me much appreciated.
