I want to put together a fundraising shoot for a place where I volunteer to mentor "at risk" youth.
Cheyenne, WY - Official Website - Special Friends

Archery, especially bowhunting has taught me a lot spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. I think it'd be a good way to help raise money for this private organization who rely very largely on donations to accomplish its mission.

I've never led the organizing (just participated in logistics and such).

I'm a member of my local archery club, and I want to present them with a little bit more than just "Hey guys, I have an idea…"

What would you all and how would you all go about planning for this?

So far, I want to do a 3D shoot and outdoor spots a few weeks before hunting season.
If possible, I'd like for some sort of celebrity to attend and speak.
I'm going to involve the Air Force Base where I'm stationed for some logistical or any support.
I'd like to get archery related companies and maybe even local companies to possibly donate some prizes.

That's just my brain storming. Anyhow, any advice would be appreciated

You have to have good prizes and commitment from companies have some of these in place before you present to the archery club.
