I am very new to archery. I am having a hard time on picking a bow and picking a lh or rh. I shoot a handgun left handed and shoot a rifle right handed. I did the domniante eye check and its my left eye. I just dont feel comfy pulling with my left hand. Should I get a right handed bow and train my right eye to be domniate or should I get a left handed bow and and let my body adjust.

    thank you in advance.

hmmmm this is a good question i think in the long run it would be better to use your dominate eye and let your body get used to it go and shoot any bow you can get your hands on and dont worry about pulling back 70lbs right off the bat 55lbs can kill a deer easly just work on getting proper form. hope this helps!

Awesome bow for the price. I don't own one but my range sells a ton of them I've only heard good things.

I'm left eye dominant but can barely wave with my left hand. I do everything right handed. First time I pulled a bow back I was making perfect groups but on the left side of a target. Finally I learned to close my left eye and have been splitting arrown ever since. I'd say try both and choose the one that is most comfortable. Keeping my left eye closed has seemed to work for me.

    Good Luck!

I've always read to go with eye dominance and train your muscles to pull the bow. As others have pointed out though, you could go righty and close the left eye.

I can't remember the guys name but I saw a guy on a hunting show use an eye patch on his left eye. I assume he did it because he was left eye dominant but shot righty.

    Good luck!!

eye patch would probably work till you train yourself to be right eye dominant
