Ok so I am shooting a 70# bow with a 27.5 inch draw length, I am going elk hunting soon and I need to know what the best grain of arrow and broadhead I should be shooting with? I am recently new to archery, and just need help. Also any good arrow brands would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Just me: Kinetic XT 300's 27", 50 grain brass HITS, 125 grain VPA Terminators. Kinetic XT 300's. 27" 75 grain brass HITS, 100 grain Solid Legends (.5 bleeders) If you want replaceable blades I would look to QAD Exodus or Muzzy Trocars
It's all personal choice I would recommend a arrow near 10 grains per inch your looking for good kinetic energy as we'll as fast or flat shooting at 70 lbs look to get your arrow at least 6 grains per pound 420 grain arrow here's my tip practice it doesn't matter the arrow or broad head if you hit the spot good luck
What arrows and broad heads do you have now? You can probably get by with using what you shoot now. Like Joe P said make sure you can put it where you need to. Since it is a bigger animal I personally would shoot a fixed blade broadhead like Slick Trick or QAD Exodus. Either way good luck and post some pics when you knock that old big bull down.
I shot the easton fmj this year I loved them. My total weight was 450 cut at 27.5. I don't under cut my arrows. Like my fingers lol. I would stick with fix slick tricks are my favorite.
Iv been out of bow hunting for quit sometime and just starting to get back into it im going to be shooting a 28" draw 60/65 lb bow wondering what's the best brand of arrows Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
On the brand you'll get a lot of answers... Lol. I like Beman and Easton the best. That is just me though. Lot of good arrows out there. Sent from my XT830C
