Hi, My late husband purchased a Blue Ridge Archery bow a few months before he died in 2006. I honestly don't know if he ever even used it. I tried looking it up online, but the only one I found on eBay doesn't look like it and the owner of the company (which is no longer in business), Tom White, hasn't returned my calls. I am trying to get an idea of its value to sell it. On the bow is written "Classic" then 60" (and some other numbers under it) and 0399. I am pretty sure it is a longbow (he also ordered a Warbow from Gerald Welch/Welchman bows and this one is just a tad shorter than that one). Can anyone help me? I do have photos. I am posting one here (please excuse the stain on the pool table). Thank you, Jayne Hitchcock
I know nothing about these bows, but a few minutes googling brought me with some clues, lol... The following posts were from: http://leatherwall.bowsite.com/tf/lw/thread2.cfm?forum=23&threadid=220407&messages=9&CATEGORY=3 These posts were made in March of '11, so fairly recent. "Tom White is a housing contractor nowadays in the Ripley WV area. He and Dave Guthrie are cousins who started Appalachian archery then split for Tommy to start Blue ridge archery." " Tom also runs a top notch antelope hunt in Wyoming--archery only area encompassing 198 square miles. Graet success rate on P and Y lopes. His business is Walker Creek Outfitters and he specializes in antelope and muley hunts. His web site is www.tomsantelopeadventures.com. Great guy to hunt with." Also, on ArcheryTalk.com, I found another user who was also trying to find out information about a Blue Ridge bow. His user ID is leper65. He might have info for you. You can locate him here: http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/member.php?u=45555 I also found some information from the web, sounds like some people purchase Blue Ridge longbows from 3riversarchery.com, they may be a source for you.
I did find Tom White and he never returned my call - I found the same links as you, but the 3riversarchery was a new one, so thank you! I just emailed them!
Tom White was the maker of the Blue Ridge bows, it's a shame he quit making bows. I and my brother have owned a couple of his bows in the past.
