IMG_2605.PNG I have this property I can bowhunt, I hunted it last year with a little success, was wondering where you guys would put a stand, keep in mind there are cattle on the pasture ground. Thanks

Ok I see what looks like pretty dense woods and open fields that I assume are the pastures. I assume you're hunting October/November. What region/state? What are the deer eating? I don't see any obvious travel routes. If they follow the Creek bottom, I'd check for sign along the shortcut from one Creek bend to another along the Southwest property line.

Topo map would help. We can help you find USGS topo if you don't have it.

Gotta find travel routes in this situation I think. Bedding to food. Circle the thickest areas looking for trails. Use cameras if you can.

Thanks for the reply, I'm hunting October/November and I'm in sw Iowa.. my stand was near the V in the pasture last year 25 yards into the timber. Saw a lot of young deer, I put a camera on a path off a creek running into the river this year hoping to see some older/mature deer or bucks. I don't know where they are going to eat and what they are eating. To the top of the picture is pasture ground and to the south and west is corn this year

Scout some oak trees. When those drop that will draw deer. I'd also look at creek/river crossings. You'll know one when you find it.
