I am a new member to the forums, and a new member to the archery community as well. I am only 18 and have gun hunted for years. I am looking for that next challenge. I've been looking at a variety of bows recently and have taken a liking to a few in the Pse line. I like the brute x and the stinger 3g and just looking for information on which is better or if there is a better choice. I will use it for mostly whitetail. I'm not sure if it matters but I'm 6'3" and I think I would need a bigger pull length. My price range is 500 max and would like it to be ready to shoot. Any information will help.

    Thanks

I'd look into the brute, but don't shy from the stinger. In the 500+/- price range I'd personally be looking at the Mission by Mathews bows.

No matter what brand your looking at, I recommend shooting a few bows before you buy. You may be surprised how some shoot or feel better in your hand. Good luck!

My neighbor just bought the brute and is tickled to death with it. Just go to your local bow shop and see what they have to offer and shoot anything they will let you. If you have a friend that is a exp bow hunter take him with you aswell. My problem with the ready to shoot bows is the **** they throw on them (sights, etc.) are junk. By the end of the first season you will be wanting new accessories.

X3. My first bow was a ready to hunt bow and I ended up buying new accessories before the season started. It won't take long for you to want to upgrade.
