I may be the minority but I think the picture of it matching the house exactly looks less out of place than the wooden plank version...unless you reside your house all together... I mean come on its not like you want to enjoy your summer break or anything!
I did a little research and found some vinyl stone, cedar, and batten style from Certainteed. Did a mockup and color change with vinyl cedar shake, and the vinyl batten:

I think the virtical lines in the second picture gives the whole deck and over hang a cleaner look. The other with the horizontal and virtical lines is to much for me. JMO!
