I have never planted any food plots always been a set on a trail kind of hunter. I have no open fields just woods with some small open areas. My question is should I plant something this spring and then replace it this fall with something for my kill plot. Or should I just wait and plant kill plot this fall? If you think I need to plant this spring and fall please give me some ideas. I cannot get any equpiment to this site.

get a bottle of roundup that has the pump and spray nozzel,a garden rake, and saw of some sort..get a soil test. kill off any green growth with the round up..rake up the floor of your spot so dirt is showing, get some throw and grow. do as the bag instructions say..and fertilize..lime if needed depending on your soil test.I would plant it this summer after you let any growth green up so you can kill it off..good luck..A mineral site too if state law allows
