After taking a step back from my first ever shot :( I scouted the area for a week. Went a bought a trail cam. Did lots of reading, ect.... This past week I started hunting again. I'm set up in a fairly good spot. Every time I go out I see at least 1 to 6 does. But I caught a small 4point on my cam. So I have passed on the doe waiting for buck to come in. If I take the big doe (the others look to be around 1 year or less). Will I still have a chance that the buck will come in. I am set up on a feeding area. And the trail wraps around to a watering and bedding area. The reason I'm in the feeding area is because its more wooded with less heavy brush. Due to my lack of tracking skills. Didn't want to loose one in heavy brush. Thanks

Hey, glad to hear you've been studying! IMO It depends on your tags. If you have a few tags to play with then I would take that large Doe ASAP! Get that ball rollin! You may see even larger bucks come 1st and 2nd week of November. Go for it!

Yes ! If you have extra doe tags take one out. Getting a kill under your belt can really help get the ball rolling !
