Guys I have a problem that may not be a problem. My new Insanity is too fast for my target. I'm shooting a 30" draw and 70 pounds and its sending a 400 grain arrow at 330fps... And at 60 yards its burying my arrows to the fletchings. Any ideas on a better target??

Maybe put some kind of a backstop behind your target to stop the penetration.

I just picked up a "Block" type target. Was trying not to break the bank cause the woman in my life wasn't too happy about the bow. The guy told me if I could suspend it, that it would be quite as prone to blow through.

My friend shoots the Glendale buck full rut. He's shooting the Bowtech Destroyer, pulling 72lbs. No issues. He also shoots a Mackenzie black bear target without issue.

I am on my phone so I cant post the link but go to youtube and search for Gearfreak. They did an awesome target review of several popular models. You will see the 18-1 is a great target.

Rinehart all the way. Do a search for "gear freak target test." I watched that video again last night. Great review. Rinehart wins. I have a block black now and it has a huge hole in the middle and I've only had it about a year.

Ok I'm gonna jump in here with my opinion. I have had a Destroyer 350 and now have the Insanity, what used to stop the D350 WILL NOT stop the Insanity, point blank. It's not a bad problem but a good one. IMO. I went out to wally world and picked up a cheapo styrofoam block to back up my block just so I wouldn't blow thru to the nocks. It helps but they still bury in there. I have even turned the block broadside so as to have a thicker distance to travel but when it burys it in that side its a mother to get out. I know alot of guys out there won't believe it but this bow packs a wallop at 30 yrds. it pops that target with authority! My KE is right at 98 LBS so the best bet is to back it up with something you don't mind filling full of holes
I've even had a arrow shaft break on impact with the block (don't know what caused it) and the last third of the shaft went on in and out the back right past the front half of the shaft!

IMO you'll wind up spending less money if you invest in a good target now that will last 3-4 seasons.

Avoid at all costs those cheaper layered targets. Theyre to light my arrows pass completely thru and wben they do stick the target falls over. Im only shooting 308 fps

Rhineharts are the best. In addition to those, the big green targets are very good as well. I've shot the heck out of mine and it is very durable. Hope this helps.

Without a doubt. I have several crap targets I wish I never would have purchased.
