I'm on a budget and would like to put a camera out for my grandpa. I need the camera to be under $90. I would also like it to be an IR cam. and have good battery life. I was looking at the WGI IR4 but not sure if I should pull the trigger on it. Opinions on any budget cam. would be greatly appreciated.

For a cam around $90, I think the primos truth cam 35 is a good choice. You can find them for $79 once and awhile also.

Wildgame may be the only IR for $90 and I don't know if you can get them for that. Let us know if you find any IR cams in that price range and where you found them. I had pretty good luck with Moultrie. Mine lasted 3 seasons and cost me $80. It was very reliable until it somehow feel off the tree and got water in it while laying flat on the ground.

The IR4 is a good camera for the price. I've never used a TC35 but I've heard good things about them and have 3 TC46s and will continue to buy more.

Well I went to ****s today to see it they had the PT35 which they didn't have but walked out with a WGI IR5D. They had it on sale for $89 and I got a $10 off coupon using my smart phone. So I got this camera for $79 with a 2 gig card and 4 batteries. I think this couple be a good deal. Almost bought the IR3C that was on sale for $69 but it didn't come with batteries or a card and didnt take video. I figured that the batteries + card + 2 mega pix better res + the capability of taking video was worth the $10 extra. Testing it out tonight in the back yard. Hope to do a review on it later.

my primos 46 that i bought last fall is dead already, called the tech line and did all the test that i can do,now it has to go back for repairs
two things about this cam is.. one it has a internal battery that is charged by the d-cell batterys.hmmm next there is no port to hook up to the computer for software updates.
I like the pics and videos the cam took, the deer would react to the ir lighting and the clunk the cam has but i could live with it overall, the cam was 149.00 at bass pro and cabelas has it for 129.00 and bass pro matched the price since i was returning another cam from them that failed so the upgraded me.. at the 129.00 price.

I guess i should ad at any price the cam failed period.

My 3 are still working as good as when I first bought them and have taken a ton of pics for me. Had a squirrel chew through one of the straps a couple weeks ago, emailed them the night I found it, and had a response at 8 the next morning asking for my adress so they could send me a new one. Can't beat that.

The tech line has been great, and i have return code to send it back this week.
the cam has some overall issues that would keep me from buying another one
