I'm glad I caught. It just sucks knowing I might have to restring a brand new bow. I guess that will teach me to use bass pro archery shop. It was them who set my draw stop and didn't tighten it sufficient too.

Well lesson learned don't let BPS do anything important to your bow lol...i didn't tie mine in i just used that plastic clip in case i have to make small adjustments or if my strings stretch i find that to be a safer bet...

Drop away rest for sure either rip cord or ultra rest pretty much idiot proof from the point you draw back not having to worry about your arrow staying on the rest to the release of ur arrow with no interference

yes mate, its one of those things were said 'pro shops' can and quite often do get it wrong. I decided a long time ago that unless i knew the bow tech was good i was going to do all my own serving, tuning etc, so i started to learn and realized after a bit that most was very easy, i recommend you do the same, its also fun, rewarding and cheaper and will help save you time if a problem arises before or on a hunt when a repair is needed.

sorry to hear about your inconveniences and hope it all works out. cheers Doz

Definetly going to learn to do my own service. Dropped the bow off at a highly recommended archery shop this morning to have the strings replaced. Don't have a bow vise, so not something I could attempt myself. Decided to replace everything with a set of winners choice strings. They had to be ordered and should be done within the next 2 weeks. Holiday week might slow down the shipping of the strings.

There is always something to be said for the satisfaction of being able to work on your own equipment and knowing that in the field there will be no "oops". There is also something to be said for some of those well reputed small "Pops" archery shops. There are a few of these in my area, and have been extremely helpful with last minute issues, etc.

I would have to disagree with you on this one. I was using the QAD HDX when something happened too it and it had to go in for repair totally covered by the way... I had to use my hostage rest for the week it was gone and i could see the difference in accuracy. Also a funny side note every time I would nock an Arrow i would go to push the lever to load my QAD even though it wasn't there lol... Good habits stick i guess
