I've been researching different bow manufactures for the past year in hopes of finding my dream bow with a price tag I can handle. So I'm now asking all of you; what would your choice compound be for a hunter who is 6'5" with a rather long draw length (29-31"). I've been looking at the new Matthews VR 31. I'm not familiar with many other companies but if there is a bow I'm overlooking, please let me know. It's been a longtime since I purchased a new bow so any advice would be welcomed. The problem is the closest Matthews shop is over a 2 hour drive for me and I'm working alot. I wish I had the time to try and buy, but that's not looking to good.

So here we are...1 week out of season and trying to replace my 2005 Matthews Switch Back bow.

    I'm looking for a new:
    Bow
    Sight
    Rest

Literally have the same situation, I'm just a year ahead of you. Have a switchbackXT and got a V3 31. I like the V3 but haven't had as much time as id like to practice with it. I may hunt with my switchback still but I like the V3 and will dig into it bigtime for next year.

There are many brands, but who sells what brands closest to you is the question.
