Alright, one more garment before the season rolls around...I think:D I have a nice Cabelas Legacy fleece vest with windshear, and I do enjoy wearing it on top of my Under Armour base layer and under my ASAT during milder weather, but I found last year that I would like a full on fleece/jacket for the colder evenings. I was thinking of going with another legacy jacket, but I thought I would inquire here first. I'm looking for relatively low bulk, but good warmth for typical PA fall evenings (low 40s-50s). Sure, I can read the reviews online, but I trust everyone's experience and opinions here more;)

Predator Fleece jacket. It's heavy 380 grain fleece, I love mine.

You know what? I've been looking for an excuse to buy some Predator, and this may be it. How do the sizes run? That's my biggest concern.

The sizes run very accurate IMHO. I have both their fleece vest, fleece jacket, and fleece pants.......all great stuff.

Love my Sitka jacket. Has big vents that can be unzipped to stay cool. When shut, its is very warm and extremely packable.

Check out the Sitka 90% line, top of the line stuff and reasonably affordable if you find it on sale.

Another good one, but not sure they make it anymore. I got an old Polar Fleece jacket that's been through heck the last 10 years or more and it's still soft, warm and quiet.

How cold of weather do you recommend using the fleece jacket and pants? I'm in the market for some new camo and was looking into buying the fall grey insulated parka and bibs which run around 300 or getting a set of the fleece pants and jacket instead for 100 bones cheaper. It gets pretty cold here in Northern Missouri and I already have a ScentBlocker insulated suit that's rain proof for when it gets real cold so if I needed too I could just wear it but I would like to upgrade.

If you wear some quality base layers, like Scentblocker's Merino Wool (I don't buy it for the scent-adsorption claims, but rather for the quality of the garments themselves), wear a normal pant and shirt and then layer with the fleece on top and you should be able to get into the low 30s easy for long stand sits.

I can wear the jacket with a light layer under up into the 50's. With a polar weight fleece base layer, and a heavy wool shirt as a mid layer, and the jacket on top, I've worn it into the single digits predator hunting in the middle of winter. It's a really versatile garment if you have the right layers to wear with it. I don't wear the pants unless it's in the 30's or below....usually I wear a pair of Wolfskin pants from Gray Wolf on the bottom unless it's really chilly and I am planning to sit for extended periods.
