Michigan would be sitting really nice right now... Tate or Denard (or both) would have been preparing to take over the team next year as redshirt sophmores or true juniors after learning how to be a elite programs QB from watching a elite QB in Mallett.

Honestly, it was like watching a back yard football team at times last year with UM.

All those players left before the ink was dry. I bet Super Mario and Arrlintin were gone if Carr stayed.

Was it RR fault when he took over MI had 25 scholarships not used? Michigan was short 25 players, mostly on defense.

Put all the facts in play, RR has made mistakes, plenty of them. At least get the facts straight when you bash a guy:biggun:

Huh? Rod was announced as the coach in mid December. Manningham and Arrington announced their decision to enter the draft in early January. Mallet announced his plans well after the hiring too.

I was never a fan of Rod being the UM coach. BUT, if he was doing well, I would admit I was wrong. Like I said before, I hate that I'm always right.

I'm a Univ. of SC football fan. So, I don't get involved with these threads.....lol. To me, you have about 6-8 perennial powerhouses. Talking about the rest is akin to a bunch of 1.5yr old 4 pointers standing around arguing over which one has the biggest rack.

In the end, you're still a dink!

Michigan's football program went from being equivilent to whitetail hunting in Iowa...to, well, whitetail hunting in Michigan.

If LSU can get some decent QB play, it should be an interesting season. Tough schedule, but you have to beat the best to be the best.

College football would be pretty boring if only the top 8 programs were the ones considered don't ya think?

Just because my team doesn't have the same national prestige doesn't mean I should not be proud as hell about em. My goals for the Wisco team are just typically different than a fan of SC's.

This year Wisky is ranked #12 in the nation preseason. That means the talking heads seem to think we are close to being in your top 8 (this year). Not bad for a "4 pointer".

Just remember, even the 4 pointer breeds the doe once in a while. :D

LOL, note I said before the Ink was dry. Mallet was back home in Texas before winter break was over.

    Remember Carr coach until Jan:D

RR has been giving a raw deal IMO. One of his infracts from the NCAA is disciplining a player for skipping class in the off season.

You have the right attitude GFY, it's about the team. I know MI may finished sub 500, but I will still get pumped before every game:sheep:

    Yeah...but he's still a 4-pointer.

Not trying to rain on your parade. Being the biggest 4-pointer is cool..................I guess. The 6-8 schools I'm eluding to would CRINGE at a #12 ranking. There's just a difference in perspective.

Best football story we have down here every year is a Div. I - AA school. Ask Germ about them.....lol.

Unfortunately, the players don't have a lot of time to make a decision. Jan 15th is the deadline to enter the draft, and Mallet had to make a quick decision to play spring ball if he was going to leave. Carr may have been the coach untl January, but Rod's contract was signed in December.

Its not all Rod's fault. The Mallet family was upset that Lloyd was leaving, and that their son got screwed by coming there. I get that. They were mad about that situation AND the coach that was coming in.

That loss was Rich Rodriguez's fault.

Well let me ask you this then? Why do you even hunt at all in NC? You have admitted (and for good reason) that the bucks don't compare to the Midwest. Why even hunt then when you are hunting a "lesser".

I mean, if your not hunting the big bucks of the Midwest, it's not "cool"? Right?

I agree with the first two assessments. Dorsey was drafted as a 4-3 DT but has been solid at best as a DE. Definitely not worth his contract. Ty Jax has a long way to go. Bowe had a great rookie campaign mainly b/c of Tony G...after he was traded Bowe hasn't been able to live up to his 1st round pick status. He led the league in drops and was suspended for a banned substance. Believe me there is a lot to complain about with Bowe.

I think he was talking about South Carolina, not the Trojans?

I don't think the Gamecocks are in the top 8 programs in the country. :fro:
