Not looking good for PSU unfortunately, I think this year is going to be a "rebuild" year. With that said, I really hope Joe P. has a chance to rebuild this year, and really give it hell for one full season next year. This year is his 45th coaching at PSU and he in at least his mid 80's now, he's no spring chicken anymore.
Let me be the first to say it, this is the year MI starts something speacial. I happen to be a RR fan, I like the talent and the new attitude he has brought to MI. We needed a kick in the pants IMO. I like Neb, PS, OUS and MI all in the Big Ten. Bring Iowa and Wis into the mix, it gives the Big Ten legitimacy as a conference now. MI has had two tough years, be we needed to reload, with David Brandon as AD, I see MI being back in the fold by 2011. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEF6edfexco at the 1:30 mark in the crowd is me, I was 7, I still remember that day like it was yesterday!!!
He's gone and headed to K-State. Surprisingly with Hardesty's graduation and Brown bolting, RB isn't a position of concern. Apparently Poole and Oku have been lighting it up.
I agree partially with that assessment. Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, & Texas A&M weren't going anywhere without Texas. I had zero problem with Nebraska leaving for the Big 10. Missouri would've went had the invitation been extended to them. I think a lot of people loved the tradition of the league going all the way back to the Big 6 and it'll take time for people to adjust. Nobody cared about Colorado anyway.
What's with all this Big 10 (12) talk? Everyone knows the Big 10 (12) is irrelevant. But then again, so is LSU as of recently...
It doesn't look like Joe Pa will quit until he's dead. And even then, I could see a "Weekend at Bernie's" situation playing out.
What attitude is that? We don't have to follow rules, we don't have to play defense, we take players out at the worst times even if it means a loss so we can prove a point? Its like UM took notes from MSU. Next thing you know, UM players will be getting in drunken fights at bars and dorms.
Did I mention that my wifes birthday happens to be on the same day as OSU's Thursday opener with Marshall this year?
irrelevant, are we talking about former LSU QB's? SEC is over rated IMO, come to the North in Nov and lets see how you guys do
Sorry Vito I don't know that you are talking about, there has been a lot of media BS about RR and Michigan. We suffered 1 major injury last year, Molk, if Molk does not go down we have a different season. We were in almost all the games last year, with Freshmen QB's
I have to disagree with overrated as they are a very potent league... But I completely agree about seeing the Southern schools play in foul weather. Bowl season is an advantage to warm weather schools. After the cold weather teams have been playing protect the football and pounding the ground game for two months they then have to completley alter their game on both sides of the ball to be able to compete in bowl season.
Why? How does that prove which team is better? I would rather all teams play in domes on neutral fields.
